Rzeszów, Poland

The partnership agreement was signed in Rzeszow, Poland on 18 September 2019 by the Mayors of Rushmoor and Rzeszow and we look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.

Rzeszow’s city charter dates from 1354 and the city’s development is due to its location in south-east Poland at the crossroads of important trade and transport routes between east and west Europe.

The population of the city today is around 200,000 and it is located at the centre of Poland’s aviation industry in an area known as Aviation Valley.  The new link with Rushmoor will be driven by research and development in the aviation and aerospace sectors that Farnborough shares with Rzeszow.

Rzeszow is also an important centre for other industries such as IT, chemical, commercial, construction and service industries and has a thriving sports and cultural side with numerous festivals and sports events throughout the year.
