Get Involved

If you live or work in the Borough of Rushmoor, you are eligible to apply to join Rushmoor International Association.

All you need to do is complete the RIA Membership form.  If you join up, you can then come along to the Association’s meetings, have a say in how things are run and learn about activities and projects.

What can members do?

Just about everything!  Contribute ideas, man stalls at markets and festivals in our partner towns, support events and activities during the year, host visitors, drive minibuses, man information stands at local events such as Victoria Day, meet new people both locally and from our partner towns, help welcome bands, dancers, performers … and lots more!

Our members get involved in a range of activities, including

• support local events in the Borough, like Victoria Day in Aldershot, or when we have get togethers with visitors from our international parties e.g. cultural and sports groups
• help out with exchange visits between local clubs and societies
• contribute to the running of the Association and give use your ideas
• help out by hosting visitors, driving them to events and showcasing the Borough.

We always welcome support from our members who find their help with both much appreciated and fulfilling.  We have members who have formed long term friendships with residents who have visited from our international partners.

Does it cost anything?

There is a £15 a year membership fee.  That’s it.
